How To Reverse Color Damage Within 24 Hours

I literally damaged the hell out of my hair and brought my curls back to life within 24 hours. I was fixing a dye job on my hair (that I had botched in the first place with lightener and 40 volume developer😭) and that resulted in my ends looking like ramen noodles. I slept with a regular deep conditioner in my hair the night it happened and woke up to have my heart shatter even more: it hadn't got any better. Everything was running through my mind as to what to put in my hair, most of what I wanted to put in it wasn't available to me. But, I bunched together a couple of ingredients and created my new go-to restorative hair mask, and this is how I did it.
Thanks to AlyssaForever on YouTube, the first thing I grabbed was mayonnaise. Mayonnaise consists of egg yolks, vinegar, and an assortment of oils that ultimately nourish and moisturize your hair.
Next, I grabbed an egg, for more protein. These proteins help restore damaged hair by filling in the weakened spots along the hair shaft.
After mixing these two ingredients together I didn't like the consistency, at all. I wanted something more like a conditioner and less like a custard. I didn't want to put just water in it so I added some almond oil (my favorite thing in the whole world) and some deep conditioner (the deep conditioner I use can be found in the "My Holy Grail Products" entry)
I was happy with this result but I knew that my hair would most likely end up hard and break off, definitely not what I wanted. I knew that ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) would keep the elasticity consistent. So, I added some.
I whisked everything together and added some water to get the viscosity I wanted. I applied it to my hair and had intended to keep it in for about an hour and a half. Somehow an hour and a half turned into about six (lol). I was actually stalling, I was afraid it wouldn't work and I'd have to chop my ends off again for the third time since starting my natural hair journey in 2013. I washed it out, then shampoo and conditioned. I applied all my wash n' go products straight out the shower and went on with my life. When I came back and saw that my curls looked like the top picture... girl. I was shook. I can't believe I came up with a concoction that really reversed my damage without having to snip any pieces off. So I say if your hair needs protein or you have color/heat/bleach damage, try this mixture! If you end up trying it, let me know by emailing me! Send me pics I wanna know everything, girl (or boy.)
Measurements
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
1/4 cup ACV
1/4 cup deep conditioner (of your choice)
1 egg
2 tbsp almond oil
1 tbsp water
Measurements are based on the amount of hair I have and may be too much or not enough for you. Also, some damage is irreversible, so if some if not all the damage does not subside, that's normal! Chop it off and start new boo, it'll be worth it in the end.
